Sir Anthony Hopkins

One of cinema’s greatest villains is set to return. We hear Sir Anthony Hopkins is to play Hannibal Lecter again. Anthony – who starred in ‘The Silence of the Lambs’, ‘Hannibal’ and most recently 2002’s ‘Red Dragon’ – will reprise his role as the cannibalistic serial killer for a fourth time in the upcoming horror directed by Sir Ridley Scott. A spokeswoman from film-makers Universal said: “Sir Anthony Hopkins and director Ridley Scott are both very committed. We like what we’ve got, and the revised script is really, really good.” However, Hollywood actress Jodie Foster, 46 – who starred alongside Hopkins in the original 1991 thriller – will reportedly be absent from the latest instalment. A film source said: “We’ve decided that we’re not going to reapproach Jodie. We are trying to come up with the right lead to replace Jodie and are putting together a list of candidates.” It has been reported Cate Blanchett has been lined up to star alongside the Hollywood veteran instead. Oh we’re shivering in our boots already.

Ok brace yourselves people, we hear Britney Spears is all set to change her career, she now wants to become a teacher. Britney is growing increasingly frustrated living life in the constant media glare and would love a ‘normal’ career. Her cousin Alli Sims said: “Britney would always say, ‘Maybe I just want to be a teacher. I just want to do something on a normal level. I’ve been something for so long. ” Call us crazy, but we can’t really see Britney in the role of a teacher, we don’t think she’ll ever be able to get away from the spotlight.
