Betty Jackson and PizzaExpress?
In an unlikely pairing, London designer Betty Jackson is collaborating not with another fashion maven, but a pizza joint. PizzaExpress waiters and waitresses will be decked out in exclusive t-shirts made by Jackson this holiday season. The 8,500 employees will wear the shirts to raise both awareness and funds for the charity Dress for Success. This organization supports disadvantaged women getting back to work and back on track. The t-shirts feature graphics by Jackson: the ladies’ tee shows a line of shoppers and the gents’ tee carries a classic intertwined hanger sketch.
PizzaExpress is also donating 25p from each La Reine Pizza and 50p from every Christmas Set Menu purchased in their restaurants over the Christmas season.
To support the cause, you can either pop into one of the 370 PizzaExpress locations across the country or purchase your own Betty Jackson t-shirt at www.pizzaexpress.com or in Debenhams. Shirts are available now at just £10, with all proceeds going directly to Dress for Succes. Jackson has been gracing the fashion scene for years now, and we’re glad to welcome her signature style to a little charitable design. As she said, “We all need help and support in our lives, and I’m delighted to have teamed up with PizzaExpress.” Happy Christmas indeed!
