David Beckham for H&M

David Beckham for H&M

The Superbowl of 2013 came amidst the year of Beyonce, and it was only fitting that she steal the show. This year, though, it’s the turn of another ‘B’ to take the limelight. Those of you who watched the Superbowl in 2012 may remember a cheeky little ad that made its first appearance. Namely the David Beckham for H&M commercial, 30 whole seconds of the shirtless footballer, smouldering away in black and white, and a pair snug fitting boxers from his very own line. It takes a lot to hush a Superbowl viewing audience but this advert did it.

2013 was sadly bereft of any Beckham input on the Superbowl front, however he was kind enough to don the boxers (and only the boxers) once more for his next H&M advert directed by Guy Ritchie. And that was nearly a full two minutes! We were spoiled. And luckily for us the Beckham indulgence is set to continue with yet another advert that will, once again, make its debut at the Superbowl.

Beauty and the Dirt was quick to spot the filming of said advert in London’s Brick Lane, see the full report here. It looks like we can expect David to be scaling London buildings in his usual super-hero-esque manner. Excited? Us? Just a little.

We will have to wait until the 2nd February to get a peak at the final cut, but just to whet your appetite, here’s the beginning of our Beckham for H&M video collection. We do hope there will many more additions to come.
