Keep a Child Alive hopes to raise $1 million

We told you a couple days ago that some of our favourite celeb tweeters were signing off all social media sites starting today, World AIDS Day, to raise support in the fight against AIDS.

Celebrities like Alicia Keys, Kim Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest, Lady Gaga, Usher and Justin Timberlake have all died digitally.  They all recorded their “last Tweet and testament” and then hit logoff.  The goal of the digital death campaign is to raise $1 million for Keep A Child Alive, a charity that works to fight against AIDS.

If you think your Twitter feed is a little slow today, get your favourite celeb back online by “buying back their life” and donating to charity’s Buy Life website.

Check out the video of them explaining the campaign, and why it’s so important to raise AIDS awareness.
