The Grand Budapest Hotel

The Grand Budapest Hotel

The Grand Budapest Hotel is the latest comedy drama offering from Wes Anderson, starring a generously sized slice of Hollywood in the form of Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan, Edward Norton, Jude Law, Owen Wilson, Bill Murray, Adrien Brody…the list goes on!

I saw the film last night and absolutely loved it, I may even have to put it in a top 10 of all time. As with all Anderson films, it looks spectacular, your eyes want to savoir every frame. Ralph Fiennes is just fantastic, I love him being camp and funny and being the main character in this film is a joy to watch. Telling you the story really doesn’t give the film the credit it deserves, please go see it and tell me if you loved it as much as me.

The plot follows the flamboyant M. Gustave (Fiennes), a hotel concierge in the 1920s who befriends a young employee at The Grand Budapest Hotel, in which they work. M. Gustave is famed for his charm, which proves particularly successful on a regular elderly guest. The very same old woman dies rather dramatically and leaves the moustached concierge her fortune, putting him in the direct line of fire from her younger relative (Brody). In the meantime Gustave takes the young employee (who becomes rather smitten with Ronan’s character) under his wing as his protegee.

The highly anticipated film is due for release in March, here’s a brand new clip from the film featuring Bill Murray and Ralph Fiennes as well as the official trailer for you below. Yes we know, we’re too good to you:
