Mushu, a new izakaya style restaurant, which serves fresh oriental food that is cooked on site each day has just opened on Warren Street in London.

By day Mushu offers speedy canteen style dining with each dish created and served in minutes. By night the restaurant becomes more relaxed serving an alternative menu of Oriental tapas accompanied with an eclectic range of beer, sake and wine.

MUSHU’s house specialty is fresh handmade Beijing dumplings – water (Shuijiao) and Potsticker (Guotie) – which are handmade by skilled chefs, offering a theatre to diners who are invited to watch their creations being rolled and cooked.  Fillings include Beef & Kimchi and Classic Pork & Cabbage (both £5.75).

To celebrate Chinese New Year, MUSHU has a unique festive offering available Thurs 3rd Feb – Fri 4th Feb 2011 (18:00 – 21:30): A large dish of handmade Beijing Dumplings plus a beer or glass of wine for a tenner.
