Polpo in Soho

My new favourite place for Italian style tapas  is the recently opened Polpo in Soho. We hear they will be introducing a ‘no reservations’ policy from Monday 26th October

Russell Norman, owner of Polpo, commented: “We want to treat our locals like celebrities. We’re taking a lead from what many hip New York restaurants do so well.” Reservations will still be taken for lunch to accommodate the already loyal Soho media community.

Located on Beak Street, Polpo officially opened on September 30th and is London’s first Venetian bacaro. The menu is made up of cicheti and small plates, typical of the bacari in Venice. Polpo seats 55 in the main dining area and 10 covers at the dining bar.

The food is delicious the atmosphere inside is cosy and feels like it’s been there for years.
