Oxford Street Stops Traffic

If you’ve delayed in your Christmas shopping, or want to get an (early?) start on it then Oxford Street is looking out for you. On Saturday, 27th November, they will be closing down the streets of the West End to traffic.
For only the sixth time in London’s history the whole of Oxford Street will be closed to traffic for a day of entertainment, shopping and festivities. There will be lots of entertainment throughout the day, including a range of VIP treats, games and activities for kids and families, and the very best live music. There will even be special offers and promotions from big name stores such as Selfridges, House of Fraser, Primark, John Lewis and Debenhams
Although they’re promising no traffic, there’s sure to be loads of crowds—be prepared for Christmas shopping mayhem. The traffic free shopping day will take place from 10am to 6pm, Saturday 27th November and both Oxford Street and Regent Street will be closed to traffic throughout the day.
