Sienna Miller turned the London Eye (RED) for World AIDS Day

We braved the freezing weather last night to jump on a pod at the London Eye which was lit red for World Aids Day.  From the top, got to see a couple other of London’s red landmarks (like St. Paul’s and the BT Tower).  Actress and (RED) supporter, Sienna Miller lit the Eye last night to help raise awareness for the AIDS free Generation goal.

(RED) is working to fight the spread of AIDS through prevention, treatment and care.  Since its start in 2006, (RED) has raised over $160 million for the Global Fund to finance AIDS and HIV programmes in Africa.

For the first time since its launch, (RED) has switched its focus from treating AIDS to preventing the disease.  (RED)’s CEO, Seb Bishop says, “The Global Health Community is on the cusp of eliminating mother-to-child transmission of HIV by 2015.”

To help support their goal and find more information on their 2015 goal, visit the (RED) website.

As promised, here are some of the photos from last night below.  Did any of you get to see London go (RED) last night?
