Get into the spirit of Christmas with Eggnog

Maker’s Mark – the handcrafted bourbon whisky world-renowned for its smooth flavour – is an ideal base for winter-warming cocktails. So, in the spirit of the Christmas season, the celebrated bourbon
hailing from Loretto, Kentucky, has concocted a deliciously decadent eggnog recipe.
Ingredients (serves 4)
• 100ml Maker’s Mark Bourbon Whisky
• 2 large eggs (separated)
• 60g caster sugar
• 150ml whipping cream
• 200ml milk
• 1 tsp vanilla
• sprinkle of nutmeg
1. In a large punch bowl whisk the egg yolks and caster sugar together until smooth
2. gradually add the Maker’s Mark to the egg yolks 1 tbsp at a time
3. In a separate bowl beat whipping cream until stiff
4. Add the whipped cream, vanilla and milk to the cream
5. Beat egg whites to a stiff consistency and add it to the punch bowl.
6. Stir all the ingredients together constantly in the same direction for 15 minutes.
7. Ladle into glasses and sprinkle with nutmeg
Maker’s Mark is £24 for a bottle and is available at Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Morrisons.
