Japanese Restaurants Zuma and Roka have raised £150,000 for The International Red Cross Japan Earthquake Fund.

Many of the guests, staff and suppliers of the fantastic restaurants have been directly affected by the disaster and they wanted to do everything they could to help. The founders of made an immediate donation to The International Red Cross Japan Earthquake Fund.

In addition, they organised that all proceeds from the “edamame” – a dish that over 95% of customers order each day – would also be given to the charity, which has been rolled out to their restaurants worldwide. At guests’ request, boxes have also been set up in each restaurant allowing customers the opportunity for personal donations.
