Savages

Savages

The last we heard of Laguna Beach,  Kristen Cavallari and Lauren Conrad were still fighting over Stephen Colletti, but thankfully Oliver Stone’s latest film is set to change how we see the glamorous Orange County town.

Stone’s latest film Savages, centers around two laid back Laguna Beach marijuana entrepreneurs whose refusal to work with the Mexican Baja Cartel that moves into town threatens their idyllic Southern California lifestyle. Savages stars Aaron Johnson (Kick Ass) who plays Ben, a peaceful and charitable Buddhist and Trevor Donovan (John Carter)as his best friend Chon, a former Navy SEAL and ex mercenary, as the Laguna Beach residents who share Blake Lively’s (TV’s Gossip Girl) character Ophelia.

Salma Hayek, whilst sporting a rather fetching Bettie Paige hairstyle, plays the head of the Baja Cartel, alongside Lado, played by Benicio Del Toro – the enforcer and dirty DEA played by John Travolta

Ben and Chon, wage a seeminly unwinnable war against the cartel, and so begin a a series of incredibly vicious ploys, maneuvers and a high stake savage battle of wills.

Savages is set to hit UK cinemas on this week.
