New Scents At Anthropologie 2

The new perfume range by Anthropologie, Happ & Stahns Perfumers, is introducing a line of rare and precious fragrances inspired by the Grand Tour—a trip taken across continental Europe by young women of the 19th century as a finishing course to their education.
The first fragrance of the line is 1842 Rosa Alba, and is an ethereal floral hinted with a drop of rose. The top notes consist of pink grapefruit, baies rose and Darjeeling tea, the middle notes are made up of lily and Rosa Alba and the base notes are amber wood and cashmere musk. The fragrance’s creator Marypierre Julien of Givaudan says, “I imagined a modern woman drinking tea while surrounded by beautiful vintage roses, lilies and wisteria.”
To further impart an air of Victorian romance and authenticity, 1842 Rosa Alba is housed in replica vessels of the era—from needlework sachets and gold-foiled tear catchers to green glass inkwells complete with pincushion caps and stickpin embellishments.
Happ & Stahns Perfumers will continue to offer fragrance collections inspired by bygone eras and Grand Tour destinations, while keeping each scent wearable for today.
1842 Rosa Alba is priced at £50 for the 75 ml. bottle and £24 for the 10 ml. tear drop bottles.
