The MAC pro team sponsored the show and we got the chance to talk with one of the make-up artists to discuss the key looks. The inspiration for the make-up comes directly from the colour palette of the collection. It’s not too bright with many monotone colours of white, black, moss green, and beige. So del la Morena wanted this reflected in the make-up of the models.

A dark beige colour goes over the eyes, and all around it, including about an inch above the eyebrows, this makes the eyes appear very big.  The trick is to pick a foundation slightly darker than the skin tone. Everything is blended very evenly throughout the face, but because it’s only a few shades darker it doesn’t stand out too much.

It’s very soft make-up all over the face; even the lips are painted in a nude colour. Everything is more concentrated on the eye make-up, but still very subtle.

To highlight the face a white foundation is mixed with the skin colour foundation. It is applied under the eyes, down the middle of the face, on the chin, just below the ear, and on the cheekbone. For the final touches very little mascara is applied, especially if the model is blonde, it looks more natural. The entire look is very soft and fresh.
