The glitz, the glamour, the drunken embarrassing slip ups…oh we just love a good awards ceremony, and last night’s BAFTA’s is no exception.  Oh what a night eh, were you happy about who one what? Well let’s face it we’re not really interested in the awards, for us it’s all about the beauty and gowns. Oh what we wouldn’t give to look as glamorous as Mischa Barton.  Well although we don’t have the designer duds we can get the look. Senior MAC make-up artist Neil Young was responsible for all the rocking red carpet looks. He has given us lucky ladies his step by step guide on how to recreate the ‘BAFTA’ look at home.  So make-up brushes at the ready, and here we go.

1. Ensure the skin is exfoliated from top to toe to enable foundation to glide on effortlessly- try M.A.C’s Microfine Refinisher.
2.
Wherever possible apply the same foundation over all the skin that is on show- foundation is light reflective so this will avoid the face appearing a different colour to the body. M.A.C’s Face and Body Foundation is perfect for achieving flawless skin from head to toe.
3. Dot concealer a few shades lighter than the complexion down the central panel of the face and under the eyes to add light to the face and brighten around the eyes – try M.A.C’s Moisture Cover Concealer as this has a skin like finish.
4. M.A.C’s Blot Powder in loose or pressed form to remove any shine from the T-zone.
5. Groom the brows with M.A.C Clear Brow Set to open up the eyes and add in any extra definition with a Brow pencil or powder.
6. M.A.C’s Prep & Prime eye, will prepare the eye ensuring a crease resistant, long wearing eye make-up.

7. Sweep M.A.C’s Kohl Pencil in Smoulder for dark eyes and Teddy for paler eyes around the upper and lower lash lines and blend away the edges until hard edges are softened.
8. Dust over Black Tied eyeshadow for dark eyes and Mulch eyeshadow for paler eyes and blend well – the colour should graduate to nothing to achieve the smouldering look
9. Add in several coats of mascara using M.A.C’s Plushlash in Black, adding in lashes for extra drama – I love number 3′s!
10. Define lips if needed and use M.A.C’s Plushglass – a Lip Plumping Gloss for extra pout in Forfilled.
11. Sweep Bronzer around the temples and tops of the cheekbones to add a soft sunkissed feel to the complexion.
12. Finish with a touch of blush to the apples of the cheeks in cream or powder. I love Peachykeen Powder or Liliscent Cream and you’re good to go!
