Me with my sparkling new Oral-B tootherbrush!

I’m about to go on holiday and hate the thought of not have pearly white teeth when I’m away… anything but with a tan in a no-go-for me! So I was very excited to get my hands on the new Oral-B PC500 electric toothbrush and other goodies for my one month Oral-B Challenge!

This challenge sits nicely over my time away on holiday, meaning that I can give the toothbrush a real run for its money to test it out. As I’ll be heading to Australia, there will be red wine, red meat and iced coffee galore so my daily oral hygiene regime will be more important that ever to make sure my teeth stay pearly white.

I’ve got my tips from Oral-B ambassador and dentist Dr. James Russell all printed out and will be following them rigorously so if you fancy doing the same check out his recommendation below:

  • FLOSS: You must floss once a day to achieve optimum oral health.
  • BRUSH: Twice a day for 2 minutes. Your Oral-B Professional Care 500′s timer will keep you on track.
  • CURB SNACKING: We all need a boost during the day but keep your snacks to foods like cheese, raw vegetables, nuts and breadsticks which are all better for teeth.
  • AVOID: Fizzy drinks. Not only are these drinks often high in sugars but they are very acidic too. These acids can quickly erode tooth enamel.
  • ATTEND: Keep your regular dental and hygiene visits. Prevention is ALWAYS better than cure.
  • And if you’re really good why not try eating these snacks to ensure your teeth and gums stya as healthy as possible:

    Cheese
    Raw vegetables
    Nuts
    Breadsticks
Fruit (but not excessive as fruit juices are acidic)

Check in with me in a month to see how I’m getting on!!
