Over the past 20 years, the Estée Lauder Companies have dedicated themselves towards the powerful awareness of Breast Cancer; bringing together men women and families from over 70 countries to help fight and defeat the disease – with the Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign (BCA).
In their unique way, the beauty company have helped raise more than $58 million so far to support global research, education and medical services. They have shared stories, participated in fundraising events; all things to raise awareness and spread their word to unite the global community to take action.
The Estée Lauder Companies’ BCA Campaign was founded in 1992 by the late Mrs. Evelyn H. Lauder (Estee’s daughter-in-law) who believed breast cancer could, and would be a thing of the past.
With the launch of the Pink Ribbon, it has become the universally known symbol for breast health. Since then, millions of people all over the world have heard the message about the importance of breast health and early detection, that can save lives.
This year, the beauty company has taken a fresh approach to raising awareness for breast cancer, by inviting all of those who have been touched by it to share their own personal stories of support and strength. An array of Pink Products will be on sale across all of the Esteé Lauder beauty brands, with each purchase of your favourite cosmetic helping donate a percentage towards the cause.
How to get involved
BCA have gone down the social media route – all you have to do is share how you take action in the fight against breast cancer by posting a photo, video or message on BCAcampaign.com or on Twitter / Instagram, using the hashtag #EveryActionCounts
For every action submitted online between 1st October 2015 and World Cancer Day, which is on the 4th February 2016 – The Esteé Lauder Companies will donate $25; which funds half an hour of breast cancer research. Their goal is to fund 500 hours through the support of the global digital community.
