October is Breast Cancer Awareness month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness and money to help researchers find a cure for the most common cancer in the UK and we’ve found some great ways/products that support the cause.

Every year, 48,000 people are diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and one in eight women will develop the disease within her lifetime. However, it is also a fact that when the cancer is detected early and is localised, 90% of women survive more than 5 years, and with mortality rates falling each year, there’s proof that Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the money raised from it are making a positive impact.

The Breast Cancer Campaign is a leader in the fight to cure breast cancer, last year raising over £2.4 million. This year, you can join the cause by participating in the campaign’s Wear It Pink Day. All you have to do is donate just £2 to the campaign, and wear pink on Friday, 28 October. Whether you dress head to toe in the colour or incorporate just a flash of pink into your outfit, you’ll be helping fight breast cancer.

A bunch of companies are helping in the fight to find a cure, as well, and the line up of products is fantastic! We’ve listed some of our favourites below. It’s official: the beauty world has gone pink, and it’s never looked so good.
