“The smell of a freshly printed book is the best smell in the world.” Karl Lagerfeld
We couldn’t agree more. From the crisp, clean pages and the untouched, unread inked adventures to the wanton possibilities and pure unadulterated escapism. Which is why we simply adore this original, quirky and collaborative scent created by master perfumer Geza Schoen as commissioned by Wallpaper* magazine.
The idea was to create a fragrance based on the scent of a newly-bound book, a fragrance synonymous with the concentration, meditation and possibility that lies in reading. The packaging is designed by Karl Lagerfeld and Steidl and within the book are hidden pages of texts by Karl Lagerfeld, Günter Grass, Geza Schoen and Tony Chambers.
Paper Passions is £69 and available at www.steidlville.com
