Some very happy campers at Boots Spring/Summer!

We recently had the chance to have a nosy around Boot’s Spring/Summer offerings for 2011 and let’s just say it’s going to be a bright summer!

From candy-coloured pastels to shocking, juicy brights – Boots has placed the emphasis onĀ  bold colours paired with soft, easy hair and barely-there base makeup. The overall effect? Casual, chic and trendy – all at the reasonable price points we’ve come to expect and love from Boots!

Let’s walk you through some of our favourite pieces from the collection…

Our favourite look from the collection was definitely Casual Glamour. The key – as on-hand makeup expert Daniel Sandler explained – is balance. If you’re wearing a bright lip, keep the face light and neutral. If you’re going for an entirely neutral face, play up your brows and bone structure and paint on some bright nail polish!

We came across some absolutely gorgeous makeup at Boots – here are a few of the stand out products:

Boots 17 Blusher in First Kiss – This buttery-smooth blush is a gorgeous, warm peachy pink colour shot through with fine golden shimmer. This’ll look absolutely phenomenal with a tan and might just be a Nars Orgasm contender!

Boots No. 7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser – We love Boots No.7 suncare and were happy to see this addition to the line. The Boots No.7 Triple Action Tinted Moisturiser provides a light veil of dewy coverage to the skin along with a whopping 5* UVA protecion. Brilliant for balmy summer days.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance – Hot weather and eyeshadow is a recipe for disaster. This Too Faced eyeshadow primer is a little bit drier than others on the market, not great during the winter but it gives it a distinct advantage come summertime when lids get oilier. It’s a must-have!

Boots 17 Supreme Shine Nailpolishes - Another great find from No. 17 (who knew?!). The Supreme Shine polishes are incredibly glossy, opaque and long wearing. Better yet, they come in a range of eye-searing bring shades – keep an eye out for the neon peach!

So that’s your quick guide to Spring/Summer trends you’ll be spotting in your local Boots this season – what’s caught your eyes?
