Emma Stone in Lanvin

Emma Stone in Lanvin

We’ve just found out that some of our favourite looks from the Golden Globe Awards yesterday were courtesy of Chanel… who’d have thunk!

And who were our favourites you ask (other than Zooey Deschanel obviously!)? Try Emma Stone with her super smoky look and Jessica Biel with her fresh-faced glow.

Check out the inspiration behind, and how to acheive, the looks below:

Emma Stone:

This BATD favourite looked great in wine coloured Lanvin however it was Chanel artist Rachel Goodwin who did the makeup and she used the following products to get her dramatic, metallic eye.

REVLON PhotoReady Perfecting Primer, £11.99
REVLON PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup in Nude, £12.99
CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Orchid Rose £31.00
CHANEL Le Crayon Khôl Intense Eye Pencil in Noir, £17.00
REVLON ColorStay 16H Eyeshadow Quad in Precocious, £7.99
CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir, £22.50
REVLON ColorBurst Lip Butter in Lollipop, £7.99
CHANEL Le Vernis Nail Colour in Ballerina, £17.50  * or * REVLON ColorStay Nail Enamel in Calla Lily, £6.49

All products are available at www.revlon.com and www.chanel.com.

Jessica Biel:

Our other favourite beauty look came from Jessica Biel (who’s confirmed to be engaged to Justin Timberlake now) who had her makeup done by Chanel artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua. Kara’s inspiration for the look was Jessica’s white gown and she said:  “I wanted to keep it simple and bright in the corals and neutral tones”.

“I started Jessica’s look by applying CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in Beige-Sable to her face, setting it with CHANEL Poudre Universelle Compacte Natural Finished Pressed Powder in Natural, and adding CHANEL Joues Contraste Powder Blush in In Love to the cheeks for a healthy glow.

I wanted to focus on popping the eyes with brown and taupe shades…I defined the eyes with the deep warm brown and taupe colours from the CHANEL Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow in Prelude, and applied the shimmery gold/champagne shades as highlights on the lid.

I then added CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir on the top lashes and CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Brun on lower lashes for a more natural effect.  And finished the look with the fresh looking Rouge Coco Hydrating Crème Lip Colour in Paradis.

Healthy beautiful skin and warm corals on the cheeks and lips keeps the look so fresh!”
