I love this time of year – when Paris Couture Week dominates the luxury glossies and Vogue.co.uk is full of tittilating backstage makeup shots of all the models been prepped and preening to match their immaculate gowns… Well, this year is no exeption and so far Chanel, Giorgio Armani (minus his inclusion of velvet *shudder*) and Christain Dior have literally wowed the crowds.

My absolute favourite look so far has been from Chanel (I’m a sucker for a smoky) and it was all about the theatrics and drama for the look. I loved the lace coupled with the killer smoky eye and it’s not hard to recreate at home. The easiest way is to black out your eye with a kohl pencil and smudge into the right shape with a stiff shadow brush. MAC’s kohl is great for this but if you’re on a budget and want the shimmered look, use this fab glitter eye pencil from Scarlett & Crimson, giving it that wet look. The lippy used in the photos below looks very much like the brand new Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (11 new shades are set to launch in the UK from 30th September) in a La Furtive, however rumour has it that this shade won’t be available in the UK (*SOB*) so why not try the Chanel Rouge Allure in a shade like Delicieuse for that beige nude look.

Also, loved the midnight blue nails which are set to be huge next season. If you want a similar look opt for Russian Navy from OPI.
