Dolce & Gabbana Secret Eyes Mascara

Dolce & Gabbana Secret Eyes Mascara

See what Chrissy Iley thinks about the new Dolce & Gabbana Secret Eyes mascara which, once again, is faced by the loving looking Scarlett Johansson in the brand new campaign.

by Chrissy Iley

I have always been at war with mascara.  I have thin, spindly lashes that are so weak they are like a sparrow in the gym trying to do push ups – they just can’t manage to hold on to anything that says thickening, lengthening or lustre making.

I don’t know if I’m alone in this but mascara does not stay on my eyelashes. It drops off, sometimes in ugly flakes, sometimes as quickly as it went on.  It’s as if it was never there.  I don’t want thin, spindly, pale lashes. Who would?  I want the kind of eyes that make me look awake, alert and as define my eyes, not the kind of lashes that make me look as if I have almost no eyes at all.

When I picked up Dolce and Gabbana’s Secret Eyes I wasn’t convinced they would have a secret.  In fact they do.  It goes on inky and smooth.

It’s thick without being clunky and it has staying power.  Good job Dolce and Gabbana.  Well worth the £22.

At last – a mascara that stays on and makes my lashes look like they have been coiffed by a 1960′s bouffant making hairstylist.

Dolce & Gabbana Secret Eyes Mascara is £22, available in two shades ‘Black’ and ‘Coffee’ from Harrods.
