Fashion Week Survival Kit

Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets, £2.99. A make up bag must-have. Wick away any excess oil and shine with these pretty patterned blotting sheets. Far more modern than a sweep of powder.

Caudalie Grape Water, £9 for 200 ml. Switching from the hot-box backstage hair and make up areas, where hairdryers are blasting and hairspray lingers in the air to the rather chilly outdoor dash to the next show, puts skin under a lot of pressure. This soothing water spray, when misted over skin, helps to moisturise the skin whilst also refreshing worn-in make up. Multi-tasking at its best.

This Works In Transit  Camera Close-Up (launching in March). This new offering is fast becoming a skincare staple. Smoothed over the face (either before or after make up) it gives a soft-focus feel, blurring out any lines or imperfections whilst adding a brightening wake-up boost to less than perky skin.

4711 Cologne, £11.49.  This fresh, citrusy scent isn’t too overpowering when in close quarters, but keeps you revitalised all day long. The miniature thumb-sized bottle is a new obsession of mine.

Lanolips 101 Ointment, £10.99. A beauty editor favourite, Lanolips is soothes and softens lips without too much gloss so lips remain moisturised without a hi-shine finish.

Compeed Blister Plaster, from £4.50. Even your failsafe, comfy trainers won’t protect your tootsies from the on-your-feet-all-day ravages of fashion week. So the best plan of action is to be prepared. Absorbing moisture whilst creating a soft cushion to minimise pain, these are essentials.

Batiste Dry Shampoo, £1.99. This hair refresher requires little by way of introduction. A must-have for early mornings, a quick perk-up spritz between shows or for work-to-party styling.
