MAC are known for keeping up with the trends (and creating them in some cases!) and providing us with the tools to do the same. Their latest collection, In The Groove doesn’t disappoint with a great selection of 70s and 80s kaleidoscopic colours that give off a bold, boho feel. The collection includes nine Mineralize Eye Shadow Trios, six Cremesheen Lipsticks, six Cremesheen Glass, four Mineralize Skinfinish Powders, and five Mineralize Blush Duos.

The Mineralize Eye Shadow Trios include some great combinations of pearly colours. My favouritebeing the Calm, Cool, & Collected trio which has a very nice pairing of green shades with a lovely gilty cream tone (which is also very nice for blondes).

The Lipstick and Lipgloss collections also offer a great range of colours to suit most skin tones. The Chillin Lipgloss is by far the most different of the Cremesheen Glasses. On lips, it appears a milky cool-toned white with a hint of bluish shimmer. It is not as blue as it comes off, but brings out cool tones when paired with a lipstick (plus blue tones on the lips make teeth appear whiter).

The four Mineralize Skinfinish Powders include: By Candlelight, a golden-pink; Stereo Rose, a coral with golden-bronze shimmer; Comfort, a golden-bronze and Petticoat, a pale-rose with gold and amber. I love the all-over sheen of By Candlelight. It’s really great as a highlighter on cheeks or even subtly all-over the face.

I also rather enjoy the Mineralize Blush Duos in A Little Bit of Sunshine. The combination of pearly and satin shades, blend together to create a muted orange-brown with soft sheen. Although watch out for ornage hues within this one and maybe only stick to it if you have a warmer skin tone.

It’s definitely worth checking this range out as it offers a really great range to suit all skin tones and preferences. The mineralised forumlas also look fab with a tan… which we’ll all hopefully be donning if the weather holds. I won’t hold my breathe though!
