Get The Lips – Vanessa Paradis

DO NOT attempt this look without a killer red lip liner. If you do, the colour will only bleed into your lip line and ruin the effect.
The benefits of lip liners are endless; not only can you create the perfect lip line (akin to Vanessa’s) but you can increase the longevity of the line and colour potency ten-fold.
Start by applying a razor sharp red lip pencil onto your lip line (like Illamasqua in Spell). Take the line slightly outside your natural shape if your lips need a an extra boost or if they’re uneven. Once you’ve precisely outlined the pout you want, cover the entire lip in the pencil and you’ll get the perfect base for your colour.
Then, taking a lip brush, paint your creme colour straight onto the silhouette. For this I’d definitely recommend the Chanel Rouge Coco range, how could I not when she models for it!! I’d go for the shade Gabrielle which has a slightly lighter hue (this will be blocked out by the bright red lip pencil underneath).
Finally, take a blood red gloss like Illamasqua’s Intense Lipgloss in Besotted and focus it in the centre of the lips to make them pop.
