Twenty8Twelve’s A/W look

We were captivated by Twenty8Twelve’s A/W 80’s themed grunge collection, full of acid washes and hand-crocheted knits. The hair complemented the look perfectly dubbed as ‘Grunge Plus’ you don’t need to look much further than Miller herself for inspiration.

The collection was  all about girls that look like themselves, while Sam McKnight, Pantene Pro-V Global Ambassador was responsible for creating the image, sort of low key, non ‘hair do’ hair. Sam said:  “It’s a little bit grunge but with a 2010 edge, the modern grunge look is about mixing it with other elements, such as a hair accessory.”

We asked Sam to give us top tips on how to recreate the look.

First ensure hair is freshly washed, achieved using new Pantene Pro-V Nature Fusion Moisture Balance Shampoo and Conditioner. As Sam says: “clean and conditioned hair is the base of any great style”

Next towel dry hair then comb into sections and work Pantene Pro-V Volume and Body Magnifying Mousse from two inches away from the roots, through to the ends. Then blow dry hair using a large round brush, keeping the ends of the hair very slightly rounded.

Finally, use the fingers to create a messy parting and massage at the roots to add texture and volume to the hair.

Sam’s top tip: To achieve the flyaway tendrils, waft the hair with a large fan.
