BB Creams for Darker Skins

You probably don’t need us to tell you what a BB cream is (but if you don’t know you can always click here!) but if you haven’t tried one in-person yet, you may be surprised with the limited shade selection.

Since skintones in, say, Japan or Korea don’t tend to vary as dramatically as they do on our shores, you’ll tend to find that most BB Creams are a light/medium shade which obviously aren’t a match for those with olive/darker complexions.

So what’s a tanned sista to do?!

Well there are two great options to ensure you’re not missing out on the BB Cream trend this season:

Missha BB Cream

Missha BB Cream in #31 Golden Beige

This Korean BB Cream is widely known as one of the world’s best. Missha recently debuted a new shade (31 Golden Beige) which is significantly darker than the usual offerings; we’d say this suits anyone with a Medium/Dark complexion, think honey tones a la J-Lo or even Halle Berry – a la MAC NC40-42.

Annoyingly it’s only available in the States and Asia but find out more here >> www.misshaus.com

Face Atelier Zero Plus

Face Atelier Zero Plus

This is a handy product to own if you ever need to darken up a foundation and it works brilliantly with BB Creams. Just add a few drops to any BB cream to make the shade deep enough for you. Zero Plus doesn’t contain very many ingredients and has a very fine texture so it won’t alter the benefits or finish of any product you add it to.

There’s also a Zero Minus for lightening up foundations if they’re too dark.

There you have it, two ways to make sure you’re not missing out on the benefits of BB this summer!
