Gold Star Treatment (continued…)

Gold Facial

The facial

First came an exfoliation session to get rid of all the dead skin cells and unblock my pores. Fere then performed a sculpting deep massage phase of the treatment, which as an expert facialist who has been doing beauty treatments for 20 years, provided the perfect start to my morning!

Next came the treatment in earnest, the application of the ‘Perles d’Or’ with their concentrated calcium which again was massaged in across my face, neck and chest. On top of this came another healthy topping of calcium in the form of a masque to really boost the amount of calcium getting through into the skin.

Ferre prepared me for this mask by putting on a layer of gauze beforehand to keep my airways open. The mask hardens and is lifted off with the perfect imprint of my face in gold – very James Bond and weird if you’re not used to this type of mask, though not at all unpleasant! Finally my skin was treated to another massage with an application of Creme Elixir d’Or which finished off the treatment.

But did it work?

As with most facials although I felt super-relaxed and my skin felt thoroughly cleansed I couldn’t really see any difference. However the next day was a different story – my skin looked very clear, and what I can only describe as ‘perky’ and had a child-like softness that hadn’t been evident at all after this long hard winter!

Recommended for…

Those who want an indulgent treat or who are building up to a big day like a wedding… it’s also the perfect way to kick-start a really good beauty regime.

The details…

The facial costs £150 and it is recommended that you have a course of three to really see results – however I was pleased after just one.
