Dianna Agron before The Late Show with David Letterman

We love Dianna Agron’s sophisticated look for summer as she posed for paps outside the studio where she later filmed her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Instead of getting her look by forking out on a Stella McCartney LBD, why not go simple and try her makeup look instead with a stylish, matte pink lip and understated black eyeline.

For the base you want to keep it simple and healthy looking with a perfectly matched foundation. We love Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Gel foundation (£6.99) which is just on the right side of matte, leaving your skin peachy, not cakey. Dust over your temple and under your cheekbones with a matte bronzer and finish off the look with a fresh pink-tones blusher like NARS Amour (£20.50) on the apple of your cheeks.

Get the look from left to right. Face - Rimmel Gel Foundation, Nars Amour. Eyes - Maybelline Gel Eye Liner and L'Oreal Million Lashes. Lips - Miners Matte Lipstick and Illamasqua Medium Pencil

For your eyes use a gel eyeliner and paint on a very simple, thin line (being careful not to take it too far outside your eye) on your upper lid – we love Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner (£7.99). Then take a white/cream eyeliner pencil and fill in you inner lash line. Finally take a whopping mascara like L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes (£11.29) which we love so much it made it onto today’s Top Mascara list!), curl your lashes and slick a few layers on to complete the look.

As the lips are the focal point here you need to be precise to start by taking a super sharp lip pencil such as Illamasqua’s Medium Pencil in Manic (£13) and draw on a precise lip line, filling in the rest of you lip too to ensure the lipstick stays. Then take a matte lipstick like Miners Fashion Matte Lipstick in Starlet (£2.99) and paint it on with a lip brush.

NB: If you love her hair we’ve found a fab gadget to get the look. Nicky Clarke’s Straighten and Curl Styling Tool (£51.05) has heated plates on top, as well as inbetween, and has curved edges meaning it’s super easy to get this wavy, undone look. Just curl and spritz with hairspray and you’re good to go.
