Twilight Vampires

Vampires from Twilight

It’s fair to say no Halloween wouldn’t be complete without someone turing up dressed as a vampire.  With True Blood, the Twilight Saga and Vampires Suck out it’s now a go-to fancy dress idea, follow our steps to get a look that’s nowhere near cheesy.

Since vampires are not allowed out in the sun, lighten your complexion by using a powder just one or two shades lighter than your skin tone. This loose powder in Silver Dust by MAC will also give you a shimmer.   To get the sunken-in cheeks, apply a gray/blue shadow (Colour Rush in Taupe by Rimmel is a good choice)  in circular motions just under your cheekbones, blending out towards your ears.

For your eyes, go for a sexy smoky eye.  We love this kit by Too Faced which has step-by-step instructions and a smoky colour palette.  To get the smoky look though, apply a dark shadow on the inner corners of your eyes, blending it across your lids and up towards your brows.  Use black eyeliner to line your lash lines to further darken and emphasise your eyes.

For a more classical vampire look, wear red lipstick.  Try the Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Ruby Slipper by ELF, which will give your lips a more naturally red look.

But if you want the Twilight effect wear a nude lipstick (the shade Hug Me is gorgeous) and don’t forget to dust glitter all over your face and skin.
