Betty Draper from Mad Men

For as much as we’re obsessed with Glee, we’re also obsessed with Mad Men and think Betty Draper is fast becoming our television fashion icon.

To get her neatly coifed bob, start by applying mousse to unwashed hair.  Use medium hot rollers (like these ones by BaByliss) to curl your hair—roll the lower part of your hair under and the upper part of your hair out (or back).  Leave the rollers in your hair until they cool then take them out and lightly mist with hair spray.  Spritz your hairbrush with hairspray and lightly brush out the curls and then brush your hair back.

For fabulously 60’s makeup, start with a sheer foundation to even out your skin tone.  Then use black liquid eyeliner to thinly line your upper lids, winging the ends out a bit.  Then apply mascara (Rimmel’s Volume Flash will give you extreme volume).

Betty usually matches her lip colour to her dress, but go for a bold shade like pink  or red (we like Lady Danger and Troublemaker by MAC).

Finally apply a rosy-pink blush (try this one in Shy) and you’re done.
