The Final Act Of Self Expression

The Final Act Of Self Expression

We didn’t expect this specific press release to arrive this morning with a bunch of Lillies to seal the deal – Illamasqua’s ‘The Final Act Of Self Expression’, dubbed an “innovative service bringing ritual beauty to the final act for those who love to self-express”.

…and yes. By ‘final act’ they mean death.

The beauty brand have teamed up with family funeral directors Leverton & Sons Ltd to provide a makeup service for when you pass away, meaning you can be as unique and expressive in the after-life as you were for your time on Earth… and we’re not 100% sure what we feel about it.

Another reason to be slightly unsure is that, for the privilege of being madeup pre-coffin, it’ll set you and your family back £450.

However if it does tickle your morbid fancy, it’s available in the London area from now on and can be booked as part of a pre-arranged funeral plan at Leverton & Sons Ltd (tel: 0208 3876075)

Our verdict’s still out, especially for the Illamasqua makeup artists that actually have to do it! Apparently they were all a bit apprehensive at first but after their training with the embalmers at Leverton & Sons Ltd they found it to be a caring environment and a ‘peaceful experience’… hmmm.

What do you think? Is this something you want from your favourite make up brand? Let us know in the comment section below…
