MAC's 2010 Viva Glam gift set for £20

We think it’s super important to come together for a good cause, and the artists over at MAC have got the same idea.  To commemorate World AIDS Day, the makeup artists from MAC Cosmetics London will be putting away their makeup kits and donning red ribbons to pitch in at London’s Positive East charity.

The MAC AIDS Fund has worked with London’s Positive East, whose mission is “To improve the physical, economical, emotional and psychological quality of life for individuals and communities affected by HIV across East London”, since 2006.

You can help this good cause by adding to your makeup collection.  100% of every purchase from the Viva Glam Lipsticks and Lipglosses goes directly to the MAC AIDS Fund.  Just one Viva Glam purchase can provide support and education for five pregnant women diagnosed with HIV, buy a pair of shoes for a child orphaned by AIDS or provide a party pack for a child to celebrate Christmas, Easter or a birthday, among other things.  Since 1998, the UK and Eire have raised over £4.4 million through the sale of Viva Glam products.

MAC Sir Teddy

This year, as part of the ‘Tis Noble to Give campaign, MAC has introduced a new way to support another one of their charitable projects, Kids Helping Kids—MAC Sir Teddy.  The adorable tartan covered bear comes in two sizes, a huggable plush size (£12.50) and a cute key chain version (£8.50).  Sir Teddy is cute enough to make a great Christmas present—and whoever receives him will also be happy to know the gift comes with good karma.

While you’re out Christmas shopping this year, be sure to stop by MAC and pick up your Viva Glam product or tartan Teddy—‘tis the season for giving after all.
