Japonesque Velvet Touch Blush

Japonesque Velvet Touch Blush

There are few things more instantly refreshing than a well chosen blusher. Whilst your cheeks may have already been pinkened with the rosy glow of winter, the extra coverage you are likely to be using in your foundation or tinted moisturiser (yes we’re guilty too! Our summer sun-kissed tone has well and truly gone into hibernation, so it’s time to add an extra squeeze of whichever creamy base we choose) will cover that right up. Which is slightly inconvenient as one of the biggest SS14 beauty trends just happens to be an oh so natural looking blush.

Luckily for us Japonesque have just launched their first colour collection. The brand is famed for its professional makeup tools, inspired by those used in Kabuki theatres in Japan. Renowned makeup artists such as Mary Greenwell and Spencer Barnes have spoken of their love of the brand, and celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore and Hilary Duff also count themselves as fans.

Michael Kors SS14, Desigual SS14

Japonesque Velvet Touch Blush Radiant Powder Cheek Colour (£18.00) is made up of an extremely refined formula which allows for a very fine and lightweight application. The texture is silky and the colour subtle, making it the perfect way to achieve the pretty blushed look that hit the runways in September for the likes of the Michael Kors and Desigual SS14 shows.

Shades range from rose to bronze tones and can be applied in fine layers to build up colour, giving you ultimate control over your chosen degree of blush.  Sweep over the apple of the cheek up following the line of your cheekbones for a healthy and radiance boosting flush.
