José Pizarro, formally of Tapas Brindisa, has just opened José, a small and cosy tapas bar on Bermondsey Street in London, called José.
He has called it a ‘market restaurant’, so the daily menu depends on what looks good each day at the market – dishes will include the likes of Razor Clams a la Plancha, spring lamb chuletillas with alioli, crab and basil croquetas and Jamón Ibérico de bellota.

José is also a sherry bar and wine legends Tim Atkin MW and Jo Ahearne MW have created a diverse wine and sherry list from both established and small producers of Spain, which you won’t see anywhere else.
