Olsen Twins Launch Debut Scent

Mary-Kate and Ashley may have only just closed their spring/ summer 2013 show at New York Fashion Week for their label, The Row, but that hasn’t stopped the trendsetting twins from announcing the addition of yet another notch to their entrepreneurial belts, this time with a scent.

Whilst it’s not the first time the twins have dabbled in fragrance – they already have a range of scented body sprays – it is the first time the twosome will launch a perfume under their luxury Elizabeth and James label and have teamed up with Sephora to do so. Due to hit stores in March 2013, the prestige fragrance will offer all ‘the modern perspective and fashion philosophy of Elizabeth and James’ according to Michael McGeeber, senior vice president of Sephora Originals.

Fusing elements of uptown and downtown NYC, and merging masculine tailoring with a playful feminine whimsy the Elizabeth and James brand, was named after the twins’ older brother Trent and little sis, Elizabeth, who is famed as an actress in her own right for starring roles in film ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’. Who, by the way, we think will make a perfect poster girl for the new scent.
