Lily Collins for Lancome

Lily Collins for Lancome

Lily Collins has today been announced as the new face of Lancôme. She was once best known for being the daughter of Brit born musician Phil Collins, but since taking on roles such as Snow White opposite Julia Roberts in Mirror Mirror (incidentally another Lancôme face) and Clary in The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones alongside off-screen boyfriend Jamie Campbell-Bower, she has firmly placed herself amongst one of Hollywood’s bright young things.

With her Hepburn-esque looks it us unsurprising that Lancôme have twirled her into the spotlight with their Spring makeup collection French Ballerine, which is set to launch in January 2014. As the granddaughter of a ballerina, the cosmetic house could not have wished for anyone more sumptuously suitable than Lily Collins. François Lehmann, General Manager of Lancôme International attributes Lily with ‘charm, gracefulness,  modernity and lively wit’ and hails her as ‘the perfect embodiment of femininity [who] brings a renewed sense of radiance and youthfulness to Lancôme’. Lily herself said that the campaign was ‘truly a dream come true’.

The sneak peek of the campaign shot by Barwerd van der Plas shows Lily leaning forward, her hair piled on top of her head in a pretty ballet bun, and her dark features contrasting beautifully with her pearlescent skin and floating chiffon dress. We can’t wait to see more.
