Slendertone Face

Slendertone Face

Back in the day, a beauty gadget was considered groundbreaking if it curled your lashes properly. Fast forward a few years and there’s a gadget for just about everything: motorised foot scrubbers, hair pullers, skin sloughers and more, but now there’s one clever machine that’s got beauty lovers really excited; Slendertone Face.

Exclusively stocked
(for now) at Harrods, pre-launch saw a wait-list of over 2000 people, desperate to get their hands on the anti-ageing gizmo.  Promising to plump and energize the skin, to slay wrinkles and to give a younger looking complexion by muscle stimulation technology, the sciency bit is oh so easy to understand. By pulsing on the cranial nerve (situated just below the cheekbone and in front of the ear) from which all other facial muscles branch out, each one is stimulated and strengthened, leading to overall tightening, lifting and toning.

The independent clinical trials are ultra-impressive, conducted at Galway University, leaving us to make our own unscientific conclusion: it’s a pretty marvellous invention. Frankly, if it staves off the Botox for a few years yet, then Slendertone Face is a worthwhile investment. £300, www.harrods.com.
