We simply can’t contain ourselves, at last it’s back. Mad Men will be returning to our screens this weekend, we love the fierce female characters that just look so polished, makes me want to take up gloves and a hairband, go Betty!

To get this Grace Kelly inspired look we asked celebrity make-up artist Lindsey Poole for her tips on achieving it.

1. Start by applying a matte foundation such as Mat Lumière by CHANEL, and set with a loose powder try Shu Uemura Loose Powder in Colourless which suits all skin tones. This is quite a classic look so to achieve this requires a matte base.

2. Apply a natural tawny blush to apples of cheeks blending up over cheek bones. Try Estee Lauder Signature Silky Powder Blush Peach Nuance

3. For the eyes apply a matte eyes shadow base such as Vanilla by MAC all over eye area up to brow bone.

4. With a socket brush apply a medium brown such as Patina by MAC in the socket line, starting from the outer edge of the eye fading the colour inwards.

5. Apply a liquid black eyeliner such as Bobbi Brown Long wear Gel Liner in Caviar . Start from the inner corner of eye towards the outer corners and sweep up slightly.

6. Curl lashes and apply two coats of Rimmel Sexy Curves Black Mascara. To elongate the eye, apply 3 individual lashes to the outer corner of the eye for an instant lift. Try Eylure’s individual lashes

7. Apply a natural lip colour such as Kinda Sexy by MAC
