marocMaroc

Last week we popped over to Harrods to learn about the lovely range marocMaroc, a beauty brand that has been imported for the Inspiring Morocco cultural exhibition instore, but little did we know we would be transported to Morocco for the ultimate spa and beauty experience.

Created in 2007, this Moroccan beauty brand prides itself on creating skin care products that stay true to Morocco’s traditional beauty culture. Using the most authentic and natural ingredients cultivated exclusively in Morocco, marocMaroc has produced a gorgeous beauty range.

Using natural formulas that are non-comedogenic and free of silicone and mineral oil, marocMaroc’s beauty range uses some of Morocco’s most treasured ingredients including Argan oil (a powerful moisturiser), Rhassoul (a clay-like substance that intensely purifies), Almond (to restructure and moisturise skin), Rose water (to soften and revitalise), and Orange flower water (a relaxer and softener that means “luck” in arabic).

The marocMaroc beauty range

The brand’s face range includes the nourishing and moisturising face cream called Richesse D’Arganier, the Terre du desert, which is a very purifying mask, and the Grains de Lumiere, a sublime exfoliating wax cream. We tried the Terre du desert mask, and it worked so well that we were actually able to see the dirt being removed from our skin. Afterwards, our skin felt cool, tingly, and utterly cleansed and refreshed.

Two of our fave products from the range - the Terre du desert and the L'or et l'Argan

The body range, which includes the Miel d’Ambre (a body exfoliating and detoxifying balm), the Onguent d’Argan (a nurturing and melting massage balm), the Sens et Encens (a body exfoliating cream), the L’or et l’Argan (a body magnifying and shimmering oil), the Or Dans l’Eau Bath Oil, and the Infusion d’Orange Shower Milk. All of these products smelled amazing, containing notes of orange, eucalyptus, cedar, vanilla, wood, neroli, nutmeg, and honey.

Our favourite product from the bunch is the L’or et l’Argan, which is made with actual gold dust and which left our skin so soft and glowy. The flecks of gold and the oil’s high shine make this the perfect complement to suntanned skin in the summer, but can also be applied during winter months to warm up and highlight the skin.

The marocMaroc products we tested made us feel like Moroccan goddesses, and we left Harrods feeling as if we just left a Moroccan Hammam.

This range has been brought over the UK for the Inspiring Morocco cultural exhibition currently instore at Harrods now (check out the GORGEOUS Riad below) and are available at the exhibition or in Urban Retreat.
