I want to go from work to wow in 10 minutes what quick fix tips can you offer?
1. Start by having a clean up, dip a cotton bud in eye make-up remover and remove any smudges of eye make-up and flecks of mascara.
2. Next, use a facial spritz to hydrate the skin.
3. Touch up concealer/foundation where needed, rather than removing and starting again.
4. Use a skin illuminator to highlight along cheek and brow bones to give skin a subtle shimmer.
5. Use a chunky eye crayon to line the upper and lower lash lines, and then smudge with a cotton bud to give a softer, smokier finish.

Red lips are set to be a big trend next season, on the catwalk at D&G lips were given a rich slick of red what tips can you offer us when it comes to finding right shade of red?
Very cold, blue-based reds suit pale skin – just the way I always think of Snow White, but are draining on a warmer complexion. Use a warmer, orange-based red instead and check that it does not accentuate any redness in your cheeks. Finally women with black skin look fantastic in very deep, plumy reds. Shop around and try on several shades until you pick your favourite.

For autumn/winter it’s the season of extremes in beauty with big hair and 80’s influences at Marc Jacobs to nudes at Balmain which trend will you be focusing on more?
I will be focusing on the glamorous 40s; matte red lips, flawless skin and a touch of gold on the eyes.

Any tips for following these trends at home?
I think it’s important not to follow a trend completely, but to use aspects of that trend in a way that compliments your features. If you want to accentuate your eyes, you could take inspiration from the smudged, worn-in smoky eye look, e.g. Anna Sui and Chanel. If you want to accentuate your lips, you could go for bold fuchsia pinks e.g. Missoni and Marc Jacobs, or the strong red at YSL. Play to your strengths, rather than just following a trend completely…

Describe your typical day off…
Relaxing at my home in the country, riding my horses.

Who’s your fashion hero?
Coco Chanel; chic and elegant.

X-Factor – who’s your favourite to win?
I’m more of a Strictly fan, but I do like Stacey Soloman.
