In part two of this interview, Sue shares with us her top make-up tips. Ever wondered how to achieve that false lash look without the falsies? Read on here to find out.

Sue Moxley’s Insider Make up Tips

Top tips on creating the smoky eye?
Use powder on the lid to soak up any grease, this makes blending easier. Don’t just go straight in with the dark colour build it up gradually and blend blend blend. Never take the colour right up to the eyebrow, go about two thirds of the way up. Draw a line very close to your lashes tapering out at the edges, lean your elbow on a table which will help to steady you. If you can, apply in natural daylight you can see every mistake, practise!

What is the hot make up trend for next season? And how can we recreate it?
There are soft natural trends with lovely skin. Creamy pink blush gives a gorgeous glow, blend with finger tips into the apple of your cheeks for a young fresh look. Use soft shadows in mossy greens, once again start with a small amount of product. Build up lots of mascara, but make sure the lashes are combed and separate, not cloggy.

How can we get the sought after luminous skin look?
Use a gentle face scrub every other day to get rid of dead skin and to stimulate circulation. There are lots of products on the market that you can use with or without foundation for luminous skin, keep foundation light and do as above. Use a pinky cream blush to recreate the flush of youth.

Finding the perfect foundation is very hard, what advice can you give our readers when buying foundation?
Always test on your face (not inside your wrist- where did that come from?) take a little mirror with you and go outside and look at it in the daylight. Use a sheer foundation if you are older and a matte consistency if you have greasy skin or spots.

We all want the false lash effect, what are your tips for recreating the look without the help of false eye lashes?
Use one coat on all your lashes and add extra mascara to the outer edge lashes brushing outwards to create the false lash effect, and always comb in between coats.

Thinking ahead to the summer how would you achieve the sun kissed look, and what is your preferred self tan product?
I love Garnier’s Dry Face Mist, it gives a natural tan and dries quickly to recreate an all over salon applied tan. I also like fake bake

On the catwalk for Zac Posen make up was nude faces and pink lips, how can we recreate that look at home?
Apply a light foundation with a loose powder and brush off excess, don’t add any blusher leave the face quite bland. Add just a touch of mascara and then gently line the lips with a pink pencil. Blend away with a cotton bud so that it doesn’t look like a line but has definition. Fill in with a gorgeous pale pink lipstick, blot and reapply for staying power

At Louise Goldin eye lids were vibrant with icy blue shadow, how can we wear such loud and bright colours ourselves?
If you go for this look keep lips very neutral as you can end up looking like a clown! Practise with the colour and blend. Models can look good on the catwalk with bold, strong shadow, but in real life it will look better toned down.
