Cha Cha Tint

Cha Cha Tint

It’s time to ditch the full-on foundation and make way for summer-weight tinted moisturiser instead to give skin a fresher look. I always ensure any tinted moisturiser I buy has a built-in SPF so I don’t get caught out, and I try to keep the rest of my make up light in texture too. Lip stains and cheek tints are perfect for keeping skin feeling and looking fresh. Hot tips for this summer are:

Benefit Cha Cha Tint

This gel textured cheek tint is a perfect shade of mango that looks natural and very pretty on very lightly bronzed skin. I like to apply using a blusher brush for a seamless flush, but because of the gel element, this formula is far easier to apply than regular watery tints. There’s a little bit of a wait for this one – it launches in June.

Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser, SPF20

This is an old favourite that never seems to be bettered, no matter how many other tinted moisturisers I try. The texture leaves a slight sheen on the skin but feels virtually weightless, and there is enough ‘tint’ that you can achieve a good coverage that won’t leave your skin feeling or looking naked.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain and Balm

Lip stains come with a reputation for being drying and in some cases this is true. But, a water based stain does make lips look beautifully enhanced and very natural. The only way to wear a lip stain is to ensure you have a balm over the top to lock in moisture, but try to keep it as un-glossy as possible as it is the matte effect that is so pretty. Revlon’s Just Bitten comes with a balm that does the job beautifully.
