Having amazing lashes is an absolute must for me – I won’t even consider leaving the house without a lashing of mascara. However mascara can wear off throughout the day and the alternatives (such as falsies and extensions) are expensive and time consuming to apply.

I came across the new Lash Lift treatment per chance only last week so thought I’d nip down to Groom in Selfridges to try it out and see if it offered any lasting benefits in comparison to other lash enhancements I’ve previously tried out.

The Lash Lift itself is a semi-permanent lash treatment that lifts each lash up over a silicone pad with fixing lotion (rather than the tradition Lash Perm rods) giving the lash lift rather than curl (that can actually make the lash appear shorter).

There are three sizes of pad you can choose from (small, medium and large) and I opted for the most dramatic for the biggest ‘lift’. I sat in the chair in Groom for about 1 hour for the treatment and had a lash tint applied after the Lash Lift as well to give my lashes added definition – and I was very impressed. Not only is the process relatively painless (the fixing solution can be slightly uncomfortable but nothing awful) but I also had an incredible head massage as the fixing solution got to work, making the whole experience thoroughly relaxing.

As you can see from the results my lashes really were lifted and, with the tint, look super long now – to the point where I don’t even feel I need mascara in the mornings which is unheard of! I’d definitely opt for a Lash Lift again as it’s far more sustainable than extensions and at £55 for the Lash Lift or £65 for the Lash Lift and tint, it’s a steal compared to nearly £200 for a full set of extensions from somewhere like Urban Retreat.
