The party season is in full swing and it’s the perfect time to have fun and experiment with different hairstyles. As accessories are big at the moment, here are some ideas that can transform your look in minutes;

Wrap scarves into and around the hair to create colour and texture – this takes little time but creates huge impact if you want a new edge.

If your hair is shorter, choose jewelled clips pinned to the side of your hair.

Head bands are still big this season, with a back combed crown to create an on-trend biba look.

For the evening, big silk bows or delicate jewels and chains can instantly transform your hair.

If you’re feeling brave and fancy changing your hair style, these looks are easy to do at home and will keep you on-trend;

Texture is always big so experiment with tongs, creating messy waves that are boho chic, or groomed finger waves to achieve the fifties glamourpuss look.

If you’re brave enough go for the big chop, create a short layered crop that is bleach blonde, or very dark for maximum impact.  Bold statement colour is key this season, so have fun with it.

If you have a fringe that’s growing out and in need of a trim why not try wearing it in a quiff, this give you a fresh look and keeps it off your face.

With all of this styling, colouring and general hair sinning, make sure you always look after your scalp and hair to ensure it doesn’t look dull and lifeless;

It’s best to have hair cuts every 8-10 weeks, depending on your hairstyle.  If you want a low maintenance look – longer styles with layers need less attention.

When you have time (perhaps on the weekend) use an intensive conditioning treatment and leave it on your hair for as long as possible.

If you’re a brunette, consider a vegetable dye to enhance the colour and shine.

Always use a shampoo and conditioner that has been designed for tired, dry hair, such as new head&shoulders Damage Rescue – its like scalp and hair rehab in a bottle!

Try and wear a hat as much as possible to help protect it against the cold, harsh weather – you’ll also find this helps fight against the frizz!
