Pleasures Bloom

I’ve just come back from a hotter-than-hot trip to Morocco; beautiful scenery but dry as a desert. While I’m not loving the surprise showers back in London, feeling the heat has put me in the mood to test the up and coming fresh, dewy and floral fragrances; the perfect antidote to a blistering 40 degrees weekend!

Estee Lauder Pleasures Bloom

As a twist on the original Pleasures fragrance, sparkling fruit notes have been added to freshen it up and give the iconic scent a energised feel. Grapefruit, raspberry and juicy lychee give violet flower a fruity boost, while pink peony, rose and jasmine retain the feminine floral notes. Bottom notes of vanilla, patchouli and musk make it perfect for day or night time. £32, from 30th August.

Salvatore Ferragamo Attimo

Salvatore Ferragamo Attimo

Notes of pear, kumquat and lotus flower sit on top of gardenia and one of my very favourites aromas in the world, frangipani. It’s a scent that can transport you to the most exotic places with one quick spritz! Bottom notes of musk, cedarwood and patchouli stop it being too sweet and make it a very elegant and wearable fragrance. I like it in Bath & Shower Gel, £24, and topped with Body Lotion, £29 for a layered effect that is subtle but gorgeous. From October.

Coco Body Oil

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

I absolutely love the Velvet Body Oil in the new bath & body range from one of Chanel’s most iconic fragrances. Because it is a dry oil, it doesn’t leave any sticky residue and works into the skin beautifully.  With a powdery floral theme – including down notes of spicy orientals – the fragrance is even more delicious used as a light layer to moisturise and perfume the skin. £37, from 24th September.
