Post-Summer Sunshine For Your Hair

I’d like to say that I’m a hair saint in the summer. That I laze beneath the shade of a parasol, smothered in factor 50 with my freshly coloured lengths, spritzed with sun protective conditioning treatment whipped up into a bun and hidden firmly beneath the entrails of a headscarf, out of the sun’s rays and harm’s way. But alas, my hair is free-spirited in the sunshine. Mussed up, trailing loose, a tad sandy, the highlights sun-lightened. I’d say it is practically made for beaches, and sun, and salt water. But it’s a whole other story come September when, faced with hard Thames water, a hairdryer and styling brush, it tears, frays and splits. The condition, shot. It refuses to be tamed, or treated.

Leonor Greyl Huile Secret de Beaute

Conditioning masks, overnight spritzes, myriad serums have all tried and failed to breathe life back into my tired, parched hair. But with its 100% natural high grade actives Leonor Greyl Huile Secret de Beauty, is my fail-safe restorer.  The haircare equivalent of a weekend spent drinking pure green juices and sleeping after a hedonistic week on the White Isle.

With its unique blend of pure oils and packed full of vitamins and essential fatty acids, Huile Secret de Beaute, glides over hair, smoothing the cuticles, sealing the ends, repairing damage, restoring moisture and leaving a high-shine no-trace finish.

Worth its weight in gold, or at least sunshine, Leonor Greyl’s oil means I’ll forgo sunhats each and every time.

Leonol Greyl Huile Secret de Beaute, £41 available at Harrods pharmacy and online at Leonorgreyl.com and  Net-a-Porter.
