SUQQU

Making its first debut into a non-Asian market, SUQQU is Japan’s fastest growing beauty brand. The line launched exclusively at Selfridges London on 20 October 2006. Designed for the over 30′s, SUQQU aims at cornering the market on ‘mature women’ that are stylish, fashionable and empowered, not women that are trying to be ‘young.’ The concept of the brand is based on a three-tier formula that includes: the Gankin massage, base make-up and point make-up.

The Gankin massage is a revolutionary technique that is designed to improve muscle tone and define features. The 11 step process takes 3 minutes and is recommended in the morning and evening. Each step focuses on smoothing and tightening facial muscles and skin, while dispersing fat. One area of the face is targeted at a time and the movements combine circular, massaging motions and pressure points. SUQQU has designed the perfect accompaniment in their Musculate Massage Cream. The stiff texture prevents slipping while the moisturising agents in the signature HA Complex restore skin. It is also recommended that the Face Refresher be used to remove all massage cream from the skin and to provide a clean palette for the SUQQU skin care cosmetics.

The SUQQU skin care series, as a whole, focuses on replenishing HA, hyaluronic acid, which diminishes with age. The HA Complex in the SUQQU system took 3 years to develop and combines Cape Jasmine, Horsetail, and Young Bamboo; all for moisturising, with Green Tea and Korean Ginseng to improve resilience and elasticity of skin. The skin care line includes; eye make-up remover, make off gel or milk, and facial soap; as well as the facial massage cream. A number of moisturising products are available, all of which include the HA Complex.

The base make-up is inspired by neo-impressionist Georges-Pierre Seurat’s pointillism. This technique uses a mass of small dots in 6 colours to create a complete look. The foundations and pressed powders are created by combining; pink, coral, yellow, white, soft purple, and light blue. The affect is a flawless finish that improves throughout wear, as it fits to the skin. Anti-aging ingredients are present in each of the 8 available shades, and 4 consistencies.

Point make-up is designed to wear over your base, providing colour and tone for the skin. Available in two colour schemes, each of which was inspired by Japanese images; the Sky collection represents the Tokyo skyline and the Flower collection signifies the petals that adorn the Eastern city. There are 23 eye shadows, 24 lipsticks and 12 cheek colours. In addition there are also 5 eyebrow shades.  A range of application tools are available to assist you in achieving your flawless finish, including the very popular eye lash curler.

The SUQQU skin care brand seeks to offer luxury items while focusing on a natural, long lasting look that holds up to the closest scrutiny. A beauty brand that is familiar with their clientele, aware of what they desire, and innovative enough to provide just that.
