If it’s good enough for fashion, I reckon it’s more than good enough for beauty – a Spring Preview, that is. Rocking it on the runway is impossible without new look statement make-up, and with key cosmetic brands and noted make-up artists setting the trends for next year, here are my top picks of what we’ll all be brushing, glossing and lining with in 2010.

Les Impressions de Chanel
Global Creative Director of Chanel Make-Up, Peter Philips, takes inspiration from Coco Chanel’s handprint and uses desert hues of beige, khaki and brown to create shimmering elegance. Natural and nude hues were the talk of the 2010 catwalks and seen at Celine and Eli Tahari amongst others, so this is going to be a hot, hot look for Spring.

Must Have:
Le Vernis in Particuliere, a milky chocolate shade already hotly tipped as the new ‘Jade’, £16.
On Counter: 29th January 2010.

Lancôme O My Rose

The best trends come from thinking outside the box: Aaron de Mey, Artistic Make-Up Director, uses strong accents of petrol teal interspersed with peachy pastels and sandy tones for sultry spring eyes. A darker palette than we’d expect for bright, light days, the collection interprets French beauty sixties style.

Must Have:
Pop’N’Cheeks Palette, £32.
On Counter: 15th January 2010.

Guerlain Cherry Blossom

Ornate and fresh with an oriental twist, Guerlain’s spring collection is the brainchild of Creative Director, Oliver Echaudemaison. Violets, pinks and smoky navy blue covers a light and luminous look for day and intense, deeper shades for evening. There are also new looks for lips with KissKiss Stras, a crystal shine in ten shimmer-shot shades.

Must Have
: Eyeshadow Quad Jeu d’ Ombrelles, £36
On Counter: 9th January 2010
